Poor Kitty!

Well today was Eddie's yearly visit to the Vet.
Time for yearly vaccines, de-worming, and Flea treatment. Steve went downstairs to get his kennel and the minute Steve walked upstairs with it- Eddie was NOT HAPPY! It's amazing how cats know when something is going on. We didn't tell him he was going to the Vet's today so he wasn't too thrilled about it. It took a few minutes to get him in the kennel and the entire ride ( about 7 minutes ) he meowed and scratched at his kennel.. so sad.

Once we arrived - it's weigh in ... 16.8lbs! Quite a bit kitty says the vet! So i asked if we should put him on some diet and the Vet says No.. he's just a bit kitty cat and muscular. - that's my Cat! :-)

So a positive check up - no problems swallowing his deworm pill, got his vaccine, great results for bladder, lungs an heart but his gums were a little bloody and dirty. So after 9 years of no dental work we decided to have them cleaned and looked after since they were a little bloody. We paid our bill $136.00 and made an appoitment for tomorrow morning. I politely ask .. how much for teeth cleaning and such .. um starting at 280$ ... I think my facial expression must of said " HOLY SHIT! " but we knew we had insurance that will cover most of these costs so Steve said Do It.

Did you know they give them a sedative and then have them on an IV for a few hours? Poor Eddie. He's alseep right now and so drowsy after his vaccine, I feel so bad for bringing him tomorrow for dental work - but I know he needs it. Poor little man is gonna be sleepy and sad tomorrow ....

Playing with Shimmerz

A technique to show you as part of my Saturday reveal for MonScrapbook.com
I am about to get my hands dirty and create a page that is filled with Shimmerz!
What is Shimmerz you ask? well.. ShimmerzTM is a water-based paint that has the spunk and sparkle to help any project shine!

For my project today I used 2 colors of Shimmerz Paints called
Coffee and Green Olive

To start off my project, i gathered my supplies
2 colors of paints, foam brush and some pattern papers.

It's such a simple step, simply dip your foam brush in the paint ( you can also use a makeup sponge or smaller paint brush!) I like to make a mess, so i used a foam brush. It only takes a few minutes to dry.

The final product is sooo shinney and has the perfect touch of glimmer and shine.

I also used some paint on my flowers for a shimmery brown look and also used it on my brown pattern paper, and chipboard alphas. It can used on anything..prima flowers, foam alphas, even buttons if you wish!

You can see the shimmer on my alphas and flowers from this angle as well.

And My finished page -
Over 45 colors of Shimmerz
can be found at Mon Scrapbook.com's online store >> HERE

This is a photo of hubby and I - on self timer - in Fort Lauderdale 1998

We had only been seeing each other since August 98 and took our first trip together and fell madly in love with each other!!!! :-)

I had a blast creating this page, i love the bright blue and a little red and yellow to add a little contrast. I didn't use a sketch, just freely created, and i think it's one of my favs!

I used October Afternoon Road Map, Pink Paislee Office Lingo for my background paper, Prima flowers, Kaiser Bling, DMC floss for stitching, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist,
