Grateful | Layle By Mail

It is snow and cold winter nights here on the East Coast and honestly it looks really pretty for Santa but for me I personally enjoy Palm Trees ;)

Today I am sharing a layout called "Grateful". It's a photo of my nephew and His Bear. He loves his little bear and takes him everywhere he goes.  Did you have a little bear growing up? I had a pink blanket and it was the perfect thing to keep me safe from monsters and ghosts that were hiding under my bed LOL!

I used the Fall papers from the Season's Pass 2.0 Fall/Holiday Collection. I wanted to try something different with the stamps that came in the collection but I mostly use stamps for cards and not layouts but this was something different for me.
Before I started stamping on my lined paper, I added small drops of paint and then added the leaves around those paint drops. It created something different which is what  I was looking for.

Adding layers to my layouts is one of my favorite things. I added shapes of leaves and some of the diecuts in the package. I added a light brown ink with a sponge to the edges just to add a bit of dimension.

To add some journaling I printed on white cardstock using a typewriter font. I didn't want to use my own handwritting on this page and this font was perfect. I added a few more details such as sewing with a thick thread and I left it there for vision effect. Cute right?

I hope you enjoyed reading today and taking a peek at my latest layout.

Happy Holidays to You and Your Families!

Let's Go on Vacation | Layle By Mail

 Hello Friends!

I am here today to share something different from my usual layouts. I made this mini album using the Layle By Mail Postcards and Passports collection to showcase some pictures and journaling about my recent trip to Los Angeles.. I'll be adding pictures and journaling shortly to finish off this super cute mini.

I used tons of diecuts with dimensional adhesive to give my project a 3 dimensional look. I always like the look of a project that has dimensions and textures.  To reinforce some pages such as the first and last page I used a piece of cardboard between the two layers of papers. Just to make it a bit stiffer and easier to hold as well.

This single piece of paper can create this mini album - I cut up all the individual tags and also used another piece of two from this collection but mainly this single sheet.

Lots of room for journaling, small spaces for 2x2 pictures and much more!

I used Layle's digital files and printed them on sticker paper.
I then added that to the cardstock. Ready for journaling!

The digital files are so versatile. You can use them for diecuts when printed on white cardstock, add them to sticker paper, or digital scrapbooking!

I also added the wordstrips to each page to add more details. These are so cute in a mini!

This little project is perfect for those that love to create ;)

I hope you have the inspiration to create your own little mini album. This can be used for so many adventures with family and friends to any part of the world ;)

The Little Details | Layle By Mail

Hello Friends!

Our Fall season is in full force here on the East Coast and the colors are so beautiful.  As much as I love the fall colors I really love Sweater Weather! I created a layout using the Season Pass 2.0 Fall|Holiday Collection. Concentrating on the colors yellow, blue and some burgundy. Of course this paper collection matched my niece's weather perfectly ;)

I did something a bit different on this layout. I didn't want to crop my photo so I left it as is and I used 3x4" cards and pattern papers to highlight my photo. It's okay to mix and match ;)

I also wanted to add some kraft or beige color to frame my layout and papers. I had a piece of cardboard that I just cut and made it about 11x11 in size to frame my 12x12 layout. I then cut the blue flowered paper to frame the entire layout. I really like the way this looks.

I did not want to use white cardstock so I cut up small strips of the striped paper to create my journal strips. I really like this because it goes quite well with the title card.

Of course my page would not be complete without adding some of the matching Season Pass diecuts.

I hope you have a wonderful end of October and you can enjoy some of those changing colors and if not maybe a Sweater!

OCT 31 | Layle By Mail

 Hello Friends!

Don't you love this time of year? Here on the East Coast of Canada the leaves are changing color, the mornings are crisp and afternoons are nice and sunny. It's also the season of SOCKS! I love my comfy socks this time of year ;)
Although it is Fall in the air it is also time to start thinking about those Halloween Costumes. I have a cousin who LOVES Halloween. I had this picture of her from a few years back and although I did a layout with it once before it was hard not to do it again for that Halloween themed layout using the NEW Season Pass 2.0 Fall|Holiday Collection.

Of course if you know by now I love my diecuts. This layout was no exception! Although this time I used different thickness of dimensional adhesive it gave my diecuts more dimensions.

I also used one of Layle's favorite techniques and that is the doodled border around her papers ;)  It is not something I do often but when I want to add a little playfulness to my project I do add those little doodles. (Thanks Layle!)

I wanted to add a little extra detail to my journaling instead of typed words or strips so I added some doodled lines and then added my journaling. It is a fun way to add little personal details to your page. Try It and Make sure you try a Halloween Layout with the NEW Season Pass collection.

Fall Memories | Layle By Mail

 Hello Friends!

It's Kristine here today and I am showcasing a layout I created with the Summer/Fall Season Pass.
I used the fall themed papers for my layout.  I used quite a bit of 3x4" cards from the collection to create some embellishments and my title.

I did the same last week with the summer papers. LBM has so many diecuts included in this collection but I wanted to add a few more. You can never have enough diecuts am I right? I cut out the "collect moments not things" as well the title of the page "Fall Memories" from these 3x4" cards.

I used a small "september" stamp to add the month and also a little subtitle "it's fall y'all". I love that on my little flags. So many options for these little mini stamps.

I hope you get the chance to create with the Season Pass papers.
Have a great day creating!

Summer Fun | Layle By Mail

 Hello Friends!  I

It is such a pleasure for me to be here with you playing with paper again. It has been a few years since I created so I must admit I am a bit rusty! It was really nice to be able to play with the LBM Season Pass Summer/Fall Collection. It made it so easy for me to create a layout using elements from the diecuts and matching papers.

I took inspiration from a sketch I recently created with 4 squares as a base. Since the LBM Season Pass collections feature a few sheets from each "season" it was great to pull out 3-4 pieces and cut them into squares.. they all match!
I used pieces of diecuts and I also used a few pieces from the 3x4 insert cards.
These are so convenient because you can trim, cut, or stamp on them. I cut up a few pieces to add more details to my page. You can see in this image that I used a few cut out pieces.

One of my ultimate favorite scrapbook tools are popdots! That's no secret. Adding popdots to my diecuts gives the image and layout more dimensions. I create small clusters of elements giving my page that "3d" look.

I hope you enjoyed my first layout for LBM and yes my first layout in quite a few years. I look forward to creating more layouts for you using the Season Pass collections. You will see how versatile these collections are to create so many layouts using the die cuts, stamps, papers and so much more included in the collections.
