Filler Card Tutorial | My Creative Scrapbook

I'm sharing a little idea with you using the Creative Kit from My Creative Scrapbook. I'm a guest designer this month and one of my duties is to give you ideas that might help you use up some of the left over papers and stickers from this month's Kit.

I had a few pieces of scrap paper left, and almost a full sheet of the American Crafts Shimelle - Haynes. I decided I was going to do a few 3/4 Filler cards for my Project Life Album.

I decorated my cards with stickers, a little sewing, some pop dots and I knew something was missing. I then realized I had this awesome package of masks!

Yes, ( blushing! ) after I glued and sewed I realized what I could do with this Mask set. HINT: Do this before you glue and sew!

I got myself some Colorshine, and Sprayed only a few parts of my cards. It added some extra details and a little pattern to my cards.

I added a piece of paper on top of the sections I didn't want to spray.

I then added some twine for bows and voila!

I really love the outcome and hope you give this a try!

I sanded a bit and voila!

Life Documented | Simple Stories

I am sharing a Life Documented spread featuring the NEW LIFE DOCUMENTED Collection from Simple Stories! How exciting is that? You are going to love the diversity of this kit to create layouts, projects and Life Documented Spreads in 2015.

This collection is filled with bright primary colors, journal cards that make it easy for you to documented your daily activities or adventures, filler cards, and the cutest bits & pieces!

The Left Side of my spread has one of my favorite title cards. I used the TODAY diecut and added popdots for dimension, I then added sewing on the initial card and cut up a quote @this very moment. from another Day to Day card. I love it! I then added the date with a roller stamp and it was so easy ;-)

The Right Side of my spread has 6 SN@P! Insta Squares that i sewed together to create a 4x6 card. I added a few extra details by using bradz, Stickers, and Bits & Pieces.

This collection is so much fun to play with. You'll enjoy creating your own cards and making this collection one of your favorites!

My little nephew! He's such a cutie pie isn't he? He was wearing my husbands sunglasses without the lenses. he loves having his picture taken ( hopefully that lasts!) I used some Halloween Papers from Jillibean Soup but as you can see it's not really a Halloween Page. Use up some of those scraps and create a page using those " themed" not so Themed papers!
