Fall - Something Splendid!

Fall, it's such a nice time of year. I really wish it would last more than 2 weeks.

We have a beautiful burning bush in our backyard that really has some symbolism for Steve and I. When we first moved in our home and started doing our landscaping we planted this burning bush in the backyard and the ashes of our 3 kitties that past away the years before. Every fall we get to enjoy it's beautiful color and of course every time we look outside we see the memory of our kitties, Sophie ( 17) Simba ( 16) and Kuddles ( 3).

Hubby and I have probably a total of 20 or more pairs of sunglasses... (I have a few more than he does) The sun glasses he's wearing in this photo are his new Oakleys ... they are fabulous! A bit on the pricey side but soooooooo nice!

US 2 in Mexico

I had my dear friend Stephie over for a Friday Night Scrap n' Chat and we both finished a layout!
I just got my November issue of Histoires de page and in it is an awesome layout ( page 10 ) created by one of my scrappy favorites Elodie Touzet. Stephanie and I decided to scraplift the layout and create our own! ( I am sure she'll be posting hers on her blog soon! )

I got a wonderful package today filled with October Afternoon and Jillibean Soup! I can't wait to start playing ... the OA papers are amazing as usual - they never disappoint!
THis is the first I have seen of Jillibean Soup and I must say .. I am impressed and now i have to get one of each!!! I love the papers as background papers.. instead of cardstock WOWIE!!!

I got my goodies at The Paper Passion.. a Canadian Based online store and Very Impressive Selection of papers, Fabulous Prices - well below the norm for supplies and Superbe Service!

Furry Friends

A Great Scrapbooking Sunday! It rained pretty much all day here today and Steve was busy doing some running around with his brother and a work meeting for a few hours .. so I got out the scrappy supplies and started creating!


This is a picture of Eddie when he was 3 months old!!! ( Dec 2000)
How cute is he..?? he even has his tail!
The huge kitty next to him is Kuddlez. Kuddlez was 3 years old at the time and wasn't crazy about Eddie but he did enjoy a few naps with him. Kuddlez passed away in May 2001 from FIP disease. I still love this photo as the 2 boys enjoyed their Sunday morning Mush Mush!!!

Pet Tags

It's reveal day for me at MonScrapbook.com
I am happy to report that I will be playing with some Cosmo Cricket this month and next!

My first page is of Eddie and his pet tags.

Early morning or late afternoon Eddie usually wants to go outside to do his daily duties and observe our surroundings to protect us from Mice, Birds, Squirrels and Bugs. Before he gets to go out we make sure his collar with pets tags are on. He hates it, but after 8 years he understands that when the collar is on, he gets to go outside.
After an hour or so hubby and / or myself yell out the patio door ... BZ ... Buzz Buzz and we see him running from behind the shed or from the trees in the backyard. ... we hear this jingle jingle from his tags as he runs up the stairs to the door... I love seeing his cute little face.. then of course he gets tons of treats cause he's been a good boy! Collar then comes off cause he's inside and he gets a snack and nap .. until he's ready to go out again the next day!



His Pet Tags have his name, my name and our address and phone number. He also has his Town license meaning he's been given his yearly rabies vaccine.


With this page, I distressed the edges and added some Glossy Accent on my alphas.



Can you tell we love our kitty? he is sooo spoiled but really he loves having his photo taken. See him posing in this picture?? ya... he loves it!

Goodbye Scenic Route

I am shocked but I am not suprised. Sad to hear today that Scenic Route will be closing in the next few weeks. I must say that SR was one of my favorite companies, they have awesome double sided papers, great color combination and fabulous paper packs, chipboard pieces and rubons.
