I love the colors in this Birthday Bisque Collection. I tried something new on this page by adding the kraft chevron placemat on top of the pattern papers.

-- I tried a second version of this layout, just by removing the background chevron paper - i added a Green dotted paper... which one do you like best?

Design Team Call | Creative Scrappers

I am thrilled to announce the call for Creative Scrappers Design Team for Summer 2014.  I am looking for talented and committed designers who love to Create with Sketches!  Who are willing to inspire others and of course be a proud designer for  Creative Scrappers.

Subject Line Design Team Application with the following information:

Name, Country of Residence, email address,
link to your blog and/or online gallery
List of Current Design Team(s) Previous DT Experience not required 
Also include-- 3 of your recent layouts to showcase your scrapbook style
1 of the above layouts submitted should be from any previous CS Sketch

 The Design Team will be required to:

• Complete at least 2 layouts per month with sketches provided
• Be Exclusive to Creative Scrappers* (no other sketch blog is permitted)
• post our DT Blinkie/Badge in signatures & on your blog
• Posting the CS sketch & your layout on your Blog/Facebook (on Reveal Day)
• Required to complete 2 blog posts during term (Favorites on Wednesday)

- This is a Term position from June 1, 2014 - September 30, 2014
- Call is Open to Past and Present Design Team Members
- We have a Private Group on Facebook for Designers Only
- Call is open to all countries
- No compensation is provided
- Designers may submit their layouts for a chance to win the monthly prize

The deadline for all applications to be received is May 12 2014. The individuals chosen to join the team will be notified via email and the new team will be announced here on the blog May 15th 2014.

National Scrapbook Day | Jillibean Soup

I created this layout I think last October for Shimelle's site and for some reason as she got busy it was never posted on her site. I had to create a layout from a sketch and it was using a large photo measuring 6" x 12". I had this picture of my niece and the papers from the Amy Tangerine collection were just perfect .. the blue journal card just matched her little sundress!

It was a great day driving around, and as you can read from the journaling - it was a funny moment we had -- me screaming what a great picture this would make.. STOP THE CAR as we stood on the yellow line in the middle of the road! crazy.. but so much fun. we laughed ;-)

You should try this picture format.. it's awesome! I love the large pic and just a few embellishments create your page ;-)

Archie and Willie | Creative Scrappers

Hello and Happy CS Reveal day!

It's time for sketch 267 today. It was an awesome reveal as usual and if you want to see more you can visit Creative Scrappers.

I created this layout using some Elle's Studio papers and wood embellishments. I haven't blogged about our new furry kids - but after Eddie passed away my husband and I had a really hard time and knew we had so much more love to give so we got these 2 little kitties. They were 6 weeks old when we brought them home and although the journaling says 4 months.. it's actually 3 months!  Archie is the male - and Willie is the female. They are brother and sister and really get along well. They do keep up up at night playing on the bed and of course the 5am wake up call for food. Drives US BONKERS! but they are so lovable ;-) If you want to see more pictures i have them on instagram with hastag #ArchieandWillie
