It's reveal day for us at Ninabrook Designs

Jill, Jamie and I were given a kit called These are the Moments and we were to create either a 2 page layout or 2 - 1 page layouts. I chose to create 2 pages .. I used everything in the kit and was left with a piece of cardstock.

Nuts for You - TPP Reveal

Good Afternoon Readers!

I have a layout to reveal for you today using
the February Kit from The Paper Passion.

This last layout is called "Nuts for You"
and the photo is of my niece being silly and
making funny kissy faces while I was requesting her to pose for me!

I used the Core'dinations Cardstock with this page - but
I didn't use the brown side, I flipped it to use the pink side!

I sprayed my chipboard heart with some glimmer mist and of course sprayed my entire page too... I 'm Hooked on Glimmer! Rosa just added a few to the store as well... Get Em before I do! ;-)

I had a blast creating these layouts for the Paper Passion and I've been asked by Rosa to complete a mini album using the NOV Kit! Stay tuned for a reveal with that in the next few weeks!

A Colorful Blog!

Yes, I was getting a bit tired of my beigy blog colors... and so I spruced it up a bit!
I loved this digi kit by libby.. her digi stuff is amazing!


I got the kit and wanted to create something fun... and a little of me in it as well.. I love blue jeans and well flowers are a given ... so this is what i created!

For sure one of my favs! What do you think? a little Springy?

Date Night - TPP Reveal

Good Morning

I have another layout to show you using this awesome February Kit from the Paper Passion.
This layout is called "Date Night" and the photo is of my parents enjoying a Dinner Cruise in Florida! Yes they are a bit red in the face from a few hours on the beach, and a few drinks ;-)

I used the Core'dinations Cardstock with this page -
I first sanded over a chipboard heart and then sanded over the entire sheet.

I am still sick with a cough and now a sore lower back.. but getting better. I've also had a check up from the doctor and a sick note for work. I'll be fine ;-)

Kleenex please..

yes.. i am sick! I have a scratchy throat, cough and stuffy nose with a headache. I feel like crap!... I have so much to do and no motivation to do it. I've been in my jammies since Saturday night and have no intention on getting dressed anytime soon.

I am taking the old Mr. Buckleys, my vick's kleenex that hubby got for me for valentine's day and my Advil.
This cold just creeped up on me sat afternoon and since then i've been on the couch..

On a positive note, I can watch the Olympics instead of reruns of Seinfeld and Friends.

Love - Paper Passion Reveal

Good Morning !

It's reveal day for me today !
This is a layout I created using the February Kit for the Paper Passion.

The papers I chose for this page are the Bo Bunny DieCut paper and the Making Memories Valentine Paislee. I used 3" from the right side and 3" from the left side of the DieCut paper for something different.
I cut out the bottom portion to give my layout a 3D effect. I then sewed the pink ribbon in between my 2 cut out pieces and added embellies!

I hope this gives you a bit of inspiration today to create your " Love " layout!

Bath Time!

This is a layout I completed at the crop this past weekend. I had to add a few extra details before posting. I love October Afternoon papers.. aren't they yummy? The Paper Passion still has a few in stock in case you want some!

This is my niece enjoying some time in the tub.
We have a huge tub with jets and M loves to sit in it and play. She turned on the jets last time with not enough water to circulate the air so it was quite funny to have water sprayed everywhere in the bathtub! We laughed ;-)

Be Mine - Reveal

I am guest designer for the Paper Passion this month and I have a reveal for you tonight using the February Kit that Rosa beautifully coordinated. This kit is filled with tons of yummy goodies...

This is a layout I created using a single sheet of paper and a diecut from the Bo Bunny Cutouts. I know I've scrapped this photo of hubby and I more than once.. but I love this picture of us. It was such a happy time for us and I love scrapbooking it. I think of all the layouts I created using this picture... this is one of my favs.

I've been enjoying a lot of "white" space on my pages lately and adding just one small photo makes it perfect. ~ for me anyway :-)

I loved the bright green flowers and they were just the right color for my page. I also added some glimmer mist, painted my paper flower with Shimmerz and added floss stitching on my chipboard heart and Be Mine tag.

Do Something Today ..

Here is the second mini album I finished at the Crop this past weekend.. I love creating layouts but sometimes I just need a little get away from the 12x12 page and mini albums are so much fun.

I used the new Basic Grey Origins Collection and I love this green, yellow and black combination. I think this mini would be on the top 10 list of my all time favorite minis. I haven't added photos yet... well just cause i don't really have any to add... but i think in due time I will.

Made with Love

Made with Love was created this weekend at a Local Crop held by Let's Capture Our Memories. I had a great time with my dear friend Stephanie and met a few scrappers such as ms Zoe! We enjoying laughs, ice cream cake and funny stories! I was able to complete 2 mini albums and 1 layout. The layout still has a few extra touches left .. but my minis are complete.

The first mini album is called Made With Love
Pink Paislee Cupid Collection and Basic Grey Chocolate Chipboard Album with Melissa Frances Rubons. I did this mini just for fun.. it's not for anyone special so I have no photos in it.











I don't think this is my favorite mini album... but it was fun creating!

A new Venture!

Well this first started out by me sending an email to Ninabrook Designs for sponsoring Creative Scrappers with some of their layout kits... a few months later Heather calls me about sponsorship and we end up talking about design teams, blogs, and facebook... Heather then decides it's time to expand Ninabrook Designs with a few new faces and to explore more options by having team members creating layouts using the same kits they have assembled for their customers.


today, i am happy to announce that I will be one of those designers, along with Jill Sarginson and Jamie Harder ~ 3 More DT members will be announced shortly but we are the first 3 chicks to get our kits and start creating for you!!!
Ninabrook Designs has been a supplier for retailers / class instructors across Canada for several years. Their kits include all supplies needed as well as detailed instructions to create layouts/ cards/ and mini albums ... remember my Creative Kits?! Well this is the same!!!

Our first reveal is scheduled for February 22nd... so make sure you join me in celebrating their new venture and maybe you'll be lucky to win a kit or two!

GDT - Paper Passion

it's February! ... that means spring is soon around the corner, valentine's day, and March is next! YOUPEEE!!!
February is also an exciting month cause I am a guest designer for The Paper Passion!
Rosa has awesome kits to play with and this one is no exception! It's a kit of all things LOVE and LOVELY! I told hubby yesterday we need a little photo shoot to get some new " love " pics... he laughed! Maybe I'll have to beg Eddie to come and sit a few minutes with me to get some new pics!... sigh!!

The Paper Passion has also started a new facebook group and they have a blog.. come join us!


THis is the YUMMY kit i'll be playing with ...




I should have this yummy kit in my mailbox by next Monday .. so i'll be playing with these next week and i'll be able to display them once complete. I can't wait... a little Love on my blog for Valentine's Day!! hahahah.. that reminds me.. maybe it's time for a little blog decorating... mm...

Happiness

My sister was here visiting last week and of course I had to get my camera ready for a photo.

I chose the title Happiness and the journaling reads -
We tend to forget that happiness doesn't come as a result of getting something we don't have, but rather of recognizing what we do have.

How to - Twine Curlies

i call them Twine Curlies you can call them whatever you wish!

very simple to make and add so much "cuteness" to any card or layout
you need :

a pencil, chop stick or I use my Basic Grey File
a button
about 8 inches or so of twine
hairspray
hairdryer or heat gun (i have never used a heat gun on this)

simply tie a knot with your twine on your button or embellishment
curl your twine on your chop stick, your file or anything thin and round
- the tighter, the better
spray with hairspray
then dry with your hairdryer - let sit for a minute or two and slowly slide off your tool
