Holiday Extravaganza!

Our Christmas Day Adventures! Where to start..?

Mom`s Christmas Tree-

Well Hubby and I left on Dec 23rd to visit my family in Northern New Brunswick. The sun was shinning, the car packed, and we are ready for a 3 1/2hour drive up north. We arrived at about 6pm with mom greeting us with a home baked Salmon Pie, Fiddleheads and mashed pototoes... mm I love mom's cooking! After dinner Steve and I visited my sister and her hubby. Little Miss Megan was in bed fast asleep but Little Miss Marissa was still awake. So nice to see them ... they grow fast!

Christmas Eve Day ... My sister comes to wake us up at about 930am ... as Steve and I were enjoying a lazy morning.. We chatted for about 1 hour about life and Christmas past. Steve and I got ready to bring some gifts to her house. As we arrive Miss Megan greets us at the door with a warm smile... she's really precious! I had my two arms full of gifts and as she backed up to let us in she took a SERIOUS flip and hit the floor face first bumpin her head really hard on the hard wood floor! OH MY.... it hurt Me more than her I think. She hit the floor so hard it made a loud noise... so not taking any chances we brought her to the emergency room for xrays and evaluation. Poor thing.... I was sooo sad. Everything turned our well, so off we went to my mother's for turkey dinner. We were about 10 of us. Mom never disapoints with her amazing TURKEY, STUFFING and all the fixings! YUMMMMY!!! Yup.. I had my share and a few glasses of wine later too...

Steve and Miss Marissa being goofy!

Christmas Eve, all adults opened gifts, had some drinks and enjoyed the company of family.
I was fortunate to receive cash for a new CANON LENS ... that I will hopefully be able to get tomorrow and also some Frying Pans from Paderno. These are the BOMB! My Sister, Steve and I went to church for midnight mass and got to bed at about 130am.

Christmas Day the phone rings at about 8am ... Yup Little Miss Marissa calling to let us know Santa came with presents! So we all got up, some with a bit of a hangover, but everyone was up to enjoy the girls open gifts. Tons Tons Tons of clothes, Baby Alive and of course Crayalo Fun Kits. What a wonderful Christmas!

Marissa Opening the first of few gifts!

Megan sitting on dad`s lap. She was there for about 2hours just playing around enjoying some time with her grandfather... not sure if you can see the huge bruise on her forehead!

Steve and I got home on Christmas Night and enjoyed some time watching Christmas movies.
The only thing I am really disappointed with is my photos! I took tons of pictures, but because it was so dark in the house they pretty much all turned out " Bla" looking! So, I am sorry to say I have no fabulous pictures to showcase!!!!

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas!

Pyjama Party!

yup, that's what I am having today ... a Pyjama Party. Who's invited... ME only! I am sick, my throat feels like someone is having a bonfire in it at my expense. I coughed all night - and got out of bed at 5am. Mr. Buckleys is not helping me right now!!! I finished a bottle already and still no sign of relief. Doctor says stay home from work for 3 days and get some rest. I wonder how I'm suppose to get some rest when all I do is cough and swallow.
I've been sleeping with a halls in my mouth, but I am terrified if I swallow this yummy cherry flavored remedy that I'll choke to death in my sleep!!!

So, today I am relaxing and playing around online with my hourly cup of lemon tea or echinechea tea or neocitron, and chicken soup. It's Christmas in only ... 4 days !!! I have nothing done!!! HELP! ... I guess it doesn't pay to leave things at the last minute! But i do have a list .. all i need is the size to be available! ... and of course I hope to feel better for a few festivities.

That's my party....

I created another blog banner this morning at 6am!!
Seems to be something I enjoy doing in the weee hours of the morning...

Basic Grey at Micheals!!

Well, today I went to get a few things at Micheals and as i walked down the aisle I see ......

Basic Grey .... tons of Basic Grey! ( Archaic, and Sugared!) Rubons, Brads, paper pads 6x6, paper pad 12x12, Card Kits, I couldn't belive it! A bit expensive for the paper pads at 29.99 but with a coupon might be worth it. They also had basic Grey Chipboard Albums! The older ones mind you but still! What the Heck??!! I don't know if i am mad or happy about this ... Kind of hard for the Scrapbook Stores when Basic Grey ships out to Micheals... It's older stock, but still ...

I also saw this collection from Basic Grey .. Collection Pack called Deck the Halls. It was a new collection ... i think. I have never heard or seen " Deck the Halls " as a collection . They also had Bazzill Cardstock Assorted Collections to match Basic Grey .... and My Mind's Eye!
Yikes!

Well... that's my bloggin for today!
I should have project to post tomorrow ... My " me " page for our Book of Me Challenge at Creative Scrappers!

Weekend is Over!

oh Time flies when you are having fun! I was home for 2 days ... Sat/ Sun and completely enjoyed my time off. I finished 4 layouts and I finally feel like I got my MOJO back! Thank Goodness!!!

I actually stayed up really late last night, Hubby and i watched a movie " Hancock " with Will Smith. It wasn't his best movie that's for sure, but it was ok. Not one i would highly recommend but it was worth sitting down for 2 hours in front of the tv. After the movie at about 130am I still had a bit of energy so i sat and scrapbooked till um.. 340am !!! yikes! I can truly admit that I get creative past midnight!

Hubby and I woke up at about 1230pm and then were super lazy all day. I didn't even do laundry or make the bed!!! Stayed in our jammies all day and relaxed. We actually had a dinner date but decided to stay home instead and go out next Sunday Night. We have a gift certificate that expires and must use it by nov 16th. Can you tell we don't go out to eat much??! Hubby is such a good cook that it's hard to validate spending 60$ on a meal .... but we will next weekend.

I have another long week of working 530pm -2 am this week... and a crop to attend on Saturday! YOUPEEEEEEEEEE!!! I really am excited about going ... it's been ages since i've attended a crop and this will be fun. Stephie and I will be doing some cards, and probably a mini album as well. I can't make cards for 10 hours .. i would go crazy! Can't wait!

I will be posting sneak peeks of my layouts tomorrow since they won't be posted on the Scrapbook Sussies site till a bit later.. Once they are revealed on the site i will be able to upload them here... stay tuned!

alright. ...
it's time for bed!

A New Schedule!

A sign of relief today... We have to bid on schedules at work, based on seniority, for our shifts. We have a rotational schedule and also a 5x2 schedule. The last bid i chose to take a 5x2 and I ended up with a 530pm shift which I do like, but don't love! So many people chose a rotation so that doesn't leave me with much to choose on a 5x2. Complicating I know.. but today was the day we bid for our winter shift ... and i decided to go with a rotational schedule. This will give me day shifts and evening shifts and alternate days off. So.... no more 530pm shifts ! YOUPEEEEEEEE... I get my scrapbooking time again! I can't wait to be home at night to watch tv, to drive home with hubby after work, and yes.... evenings to scrapbook with friends maybe!!!

I am sitting at work tonight, and really wish I was home doing something else! The layout kits for Creative Scrappers are almost complete. Deb has emailed me her layouts and I am just finalizing the sketches and instructions... so they are coming soon! As for the Creative Kits... these should be complete by next weekend! .. A newsletter will be going out shortly to our Creative Kit newsletter subscribers!

If you haven't checked the Creative Scrappers online store in a while... i have added a few Pink Paislee papers from the Office Lingo Collection at reduced prices, and 1 collection of Crate Paper Prudence and Basic Grey Albums... limited quantities available!
I also have a class for a mini holiday planner... come join us! We have a great group of ladies in the class right now and we always have room for more! Don't be shy... we don't bite! LOL! and you can use your own supplies .... great gift idea too! Come play!

Talk Soon!

Digi Fun and Facts!

Ok... so you must all know by now that i am soooo addicted to digi elements, blog banners and such ! If you aren't aware... you should be now!!

So this is my new page... digi elements by my fav Kate Hadfield from DigiScrappingQueen.com
and the background is also created by ME with her digi elements! Yes, I finally found out how to create backgrounds, so now I can play with banners and backgrounds... oh my.. it doesn't take much to get me excited!

So, after all this ... i think it's time to announce that I, Kristine Davidson will be opening up a little .... business ! yes, coming soon will be my own site and in it you will find things you need to make your sites more appealing, website assistance, website maintenance and also .... installation of new sites for ecommerce! YUP!!! why not... galleries, zencart and more... this is something I have always wanted to do and maybe it can grow... who knows.. but if I don't try it.. i won't know!

My Creative Scrappers is still here and NOT going anywhere so please don't get sad....
I might be doing less Creative Kits, but the layout kits will be a go for as long as we can! With the help of my designers Deb, Tanya and a few others coming on .. we will be able to offer you more pages, more products, and more fun! ... stay tuned for Janaury 2009!!!

so... on that note... I was busy on Sunday creating a little site for my dear Stephie... she makes these AMAZING Poly Embellies she had the " itch " to start making them and selling them.. and VOILA ... she chose the name My Little Bit Of Whimsy and her site was born! You MUST go take a peek at her new embellies, buttons, paintins, jewerly and MORE!!! She Rocks....

and I also made Kate a little banner for her sketch blog... digi elements are from Shappy Shoppe.

so lots of exciting things going on!
Thanks for letting me share...

Another Wash Out!

Yes, that's the story! Another Wash Out on Klondike Drive this morning.

I was at work last night till about 2am ... it was raining so hard, and Steve was home guarding the front yard making sure it wouldn't flood again. He called the Town Hall answering service at about 12midnight to ask for help cause he knew it was gonna rain all night and the waters were coming quickly over the edge of our driveway! No one came.....
At approximately 6am Steve and I are both up just watching the chaos in our front yard ... again .... for the 14th time!

Steve was unable to get out of the driveway this morning to go to work, so he had to call Angie to the rescue. The town came by at about 830 am with the trucks to see what went wrong considering the street was washed out again...
They did a little looking around and left... coming back at about 11am with a truck filled with crushed rocks, and gravel... again! I had gone to bed for about 1 hour and went I heard the trucks I got up and went outside.... hubby knew as i put my jacket on it wasn't going to be pretty!

The poor city worker who said Hi to me ... made a mistake! He was casually approaching me and i just lost it! I think I must have looked like some mad lady when he came in... cause i gave him a piece of my mind... totally unacceptable that this has been going on for 7 years and the fix up they did 3 years ago ... doesn't work! So I told him something needed to be done >>>>> NOW! and asked to speak to the mayor and the town engineer / manager.

At about 1pm ... the manager arrives and well... i had time to calm down by then and steve and i both wanted answers. He was sincere in his apologies and i think looked like a little god with his tail between his legs! ..... something will be done.. as of what... not sure yet but i am sure i will keep my blog up to date!

so tonight. needless to say Steve and I are mentally drained and tired!
As you can see from the photo, the crushed rock they put on the side of the driveway from last month DOESN"T WORK!!!! and the river across my driveway is about 5 feet wide and 14 inches deep! It litteraly sounds like some rapids!

This is a picture of our street ... again! The photos were taken at 8am this morning.

that's all for me tonight!
Chow for now!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

To all my Canadian Friends and Family .... Hope you all enjoy some turkey this weekend!
Hubby and I went to Northern New Brunswick to visit family. It was a great ... but too quick trip!
We arrived on Friday night late, enjoyed some chit chatting and of course headed to bed early cause the 2 little princesses wake up early.

Marissa didn't know we were coming for the weekend cause her mom kept it a secret. So Sat morning I surprised her by yelling " Is anyone here!?" and with open arms she started running towards me. That was the highlight of my thanksgiving weekend! I miss them both dearly, and really don't visit enough.

It was such a worldwin of 2 days that I didn't even have time to take a few pictures...
I hope to see them in November again for some Christmas shopping and glad I did get a few " minutes " of hugs and cuddles!

Mom and Dad were busy with renovations as they get ready for new kitchen cabinets and countertops -and no turkey dinner was cooked. On our way home Hubby and I stopped at the grocery store, got some chicken and came home to have our own little thanksgiving dinner!

I am absolutely pooped tonight and anxious to get a good night's sleep!!!

What a bad day ...

Oh my, where do i start?

I woke up this morning ... looked in the mirror and well the zit i totally squeezed and pinched " hard " last night on my cheek has now formed into some serious scab! Yes, I know .. why did i do that. I really don't know. It was just on my face and i didn't like it !!! So i squeezed the crap out of it... and now i look like some nut bar with a huge scab!

Well, i made it to work this morning for an 8am shift .. which was fine. That started off pretty rough as it seemed that every single call that came to me was nasty!!! Literally... why.. why is it that people dial up someone at a call centre and immediately assume we aren't human? why do they yell at us ? why do they treat us like crap because they don't like the company we work for?
Oh... i wasn't happy today!

for example:

A gentleman called in and wanted to know if by accident a ticket was booked for him on the web without sending him confirmation. I asked him for his frequent flyer number and searched. ... nothing came up with an immediate reservation but I did find an old ticket for him that was still valid. WOW... his ticket price was 800$ or so and the unused ticket for credit was over 350$. I thought that was a great thing to find credit for him.
I then told him, well since this is credit I can certainly use it on a new ticket but you do have change penalties... 80$ would cost him to use this 350$ .. and almost get his ticket at 25% off or more.. he just started YELLING at me! That I was a thief and there was no reason for him to pay change fees... .. um ok.. i just saved this guy 350$ and he doesn't want to use it...
.. seriously ...
so he hung up not wanting to use his credit because he had to pay a change fee. { BLAH! }

Then, I get home have an amazing supper waiting for me. Hubby cooked of course! Chicken, mashed potatoes .. it was delicious!!! I took a 2 hour nap on the couch and rejuvenized.

I start creating a layout - and decided I wanted to make the edges a bit " worn, burnt, and vintage like" .. so i have a lighter and start burning the edges of my paper... UM.. NO! that didn't work... smoke from my scrap room... fire alarm goes off... Hubby comes running up stairs thinking something went wrong.. and here i am .. trying to wave the smoke away from the fire alarm... mmmm ... that didn't work! Still on the same layout, i decided NOT to have a burnt edge so I start creating again... I decide to use some Grungeboard ... paint it, and glue it with my xyron machine... i run out of adhesive ................ i use glue stick... glue it to my page and NOPE... don't like it! So i take it apart with glue and gunk all over my picture ... i am not happy scrapper... so... i take the layout - fold it in half and in the garbage it goes.

Question.. did you buy Grungeboard ?? and if so .. what the heck did you do with it?? The only thing I think i like are the hearts !!!! grrrrr... needless to say it was a bad day!

Adult Acne... Yuck!

Alright, this is my serious post this month!

Since I was about 12 years old at the beginning of puberty, I was given a gift of "serious" acne. Like Serious!
I started taking medication for acne when I realized it wasn't gonna get any better and at the age of 16 when my face was pretty scared from me picking my zits for years!
I was on this medication called ACCUTANE. ( can't find a half decent site to link! ) Anyhow this drug causes some side effects but wow did it ever work. Until a few years ago... probably Stress induced caused me to have these serious breakouts again, and I started getting acne back .... even as an adult! GRRR!!!

So, after a few months of thinking about it, i did it.. I ordered PROACTIV! I know this is hard to believe but only after a few ... days I really feel and see a difference in my face!!!! Ok, could this be the end of zits for me !?!?! Really!!!?? I hope so!

On a dumber note, This proactiv stuff has BENZOiL PEROXIDE as an ingredient.. Little did I know this is like bleach! ... yes... bleach! ME and bleach do not get a long well... at all!
So, my blue face towels..... are now PINKISH! LMAO! yes ..... they are! and my Hand towels!!! 2 of them are PINKISH!!!!!!!!!!!! Atleast my face is better but now I need to start using my white towels... at least those will start getting whiter!

Have you tried Proactiv and what has it done for you?

that's my story tonight on Adult Acne! Just to tell you my towels have changed colors! HAHAH!

A Painting for me ...

It's Monday night at Midnight... and I am sooo sleepy! I think it's been such a long time since I've slept a good 8 hours .. without interruption! For some reason we have an extra blanket on the bed... cause last week was a bit chilly but this week it's 70 degrees! So, hubby and I are usually pretty ... sticky and it's just not good! So we both wake up in the middle of night soooo warm. I think tonight it's time for the windows to remain " OPEN!" and maybe get a few hours sleep.

So this big announcement over the weekend... HURRICANE KYLE is expected to pass thru Saint John and southern New Brunswick to get HIGH winds... well .. I don't know about you but if they announce a hurricane is coming it's time to get the yard ready for high winds and rain. Well ... I was really disspointed when I woke up this morning but to find ... nothing! No leaves were blown, no trees down, no real rain and it just was like nothing happened. I think the weather network needs to upgrade their weather balloon or something ... cause they were wrong! oh don't get me wrong .. i was happy nothing was damaged .. but i got all worked up for some great event! Oh well... I am happy everyone is safe and nothing did happen.

On a scrappy note...

I have finished my 3 kits for October .. for Creative Scrappers! WOOHOOOO!!! and really .. I am in LOVE with the Weight Loss Journal. That is my fav .. Deb did an amazing job at the layouts and of course the 7 gypsies album is nice and has a romantic feel to it .. but I love the Pink Paislee journal! To see more of my goodies visit my store!

Last week i got an AMAZING gift from my dear friend Stephie! She took some inspriation from my scrapbook room, and her scrap room , my love for flowers, my kitty Eddie and created this AWESOME painting!!! Is this amazing??!! I love it... I have it hangin in my scrap room ... it's Purrrr-fect!

Well, I can finally show you pictures of my layouts done for the Creative Scrappers Sep Layout kit! I used some fabulous and fun Dream Street papers.

This first one is called Adorable You. I used a picture from my scrappy friend Natalie's daughter. I love the cutie face on her and it's such a grown up pic! ( Merci Natalie! )

This second layout is of course my furry friend Eddie... posing like he is such an ALL STAR!
and ALL STAR kitty! Steve took this picture of him sitting outside enjoying the day. Doesn't he look like he's posing!!?? hahaha!! SPOILED!

Scrapbook Sussies has the Design Team members reveal on Oct 1st! I had fun playing with some Daisy Bucket and these new papers from a young company called Scrap Within Reach. I really enjoyed the texture of these papers and the distressed look! Take a peek... www.Scrapwithinreach.com I will be able to show you my layouts when they are posted on the website! Stay tuned... I finished 3 layouts on the weekend and it was soooooo nice to scrapbook! I hadn't done layouts in a week or two and my creative juices were overflowing! Since i have this evening shift at work it's really cutting into my scrapbooking time.. i wish I could just bring my stuff to work!!! how fun would that be?!?! AHAH! i am sure the managers wouldn;t like it but i would... oh dear...

Anyhow,that's my post for today!
Hope all is well and talk soon

I Love Sundays!

Aren't Sundays nice?! Don't you just love relaxing lazy Sundays !? I do!!!
I went to bed pretty late last night ... busy playing around doing nothing and before I realized it... 2am was the time on the clock! I woke up today a bit later than I usually do on Sundays. Going to bed later than my regular schedule is really messing me up! I woke up at .... oh i don't think i can put that on my blog.... cause um.. it was late!

Steve and i went for a little drive today ... stopping at Micheals, the liquor store, the dollar store and the candy store! In that order!!! LOL... I was shocked when I went to Micheals today! I picked up another paper trimmer... number 4! I really love this paper trimmer although Making Memories has had a hard time with them .. not cutting straight or something - but I Love it! I had a 50% off coupon and had to use it on something worth it... Eddie usually sleeps on this paper trimmer in the winter time under my 100watt light bulbs!
and....... at Micheals ... I found Making Memories Passport collection!!!! Everything ... a bit pricey but with a 40% off coupon it would be really cheap! they had paper packs, individual papers ( 1.19 ) and stickers ... ya.. i had this collection hidden in my paper stash but i did get rubons!
and..... there is more! Did you know Micheals now carries BAZZILL Cardstock !?!?!?! ya.. that's what i said... WHAT"!!! i was gonna go bonkers and get a ton of it until I looked at the price.... 1.19$ a sheet!!! that's not even funny. Considering you can purchase cardstock at probably .24cents a sheet wholesale! Who does that ... why would they charge like a 100% markup!? Anyway I am waiting for their Cardstock sale ... buy 3 / 1.00$ ... maybe soon! But yes,, they had probably over 75 colors! I am guessing... maybe more!

So, um.. .thanks for the comments on my blog banner ladies! Yes, i love blog banners and i love changing them too!!! LOL .... they are so much fun to make ... and i get bored with the same colors on my blog... so yes.. i will keep changing them!

I just finished cleaning my scrap room ... and i have so much stuff .. STUFF!!!

Anyhow! ... that's all for now!
Time to clean up the bathroom, get supper, and watch Big Brother tonight! It's almost the end... who will win???! DAN ???? MEMPHIS!?!??!

have a good Sunday Night!

It's Saaaaaturday Night and I'm Venting!

Yes, Finally .... it's Saturday Night!!!!
Do you know what that means ???! It's time to relax! It's been a long week here at the Davidson's and finally I can sit down and maybe watch a movie with hubby ... maybe! and also scrapbook till about 1am ! That would be nice. It's the night that hubby makes a huge feast of Nachos.... they are AMAZING! i will take a picture for you tonight ... he'll like that !! LOL!!! and ...

I got a box of goodies on Thursday! YOUPEEEEE!!! Time to start working on the Creative Scrappers October Kit and finish the weight loss journal kit as well... the weight loss one, ...is ADORABLE! Not only because I made it ( heee!!!! ) but it's sooo cute and fits in your purse too! I have tons of pages included in this little album and can't wait to have it completed tonight.
Don't you love getting fresh new scrap supplies ?? I " love " it! I really do. It's like Christmas morning when I open a box full of scrap goodies ... the ideas and inspiration from new products just oozes out of me! hahha!!! So .. i better have a few hours to scrap tonight and I hope it pours rain on Sunday so i can justify being lazy !

Ok, a little bit about some dos and donts when calling an airline reservation agent ...
mm... yes. after a long week .. i need to vent!

Number 1 --- if you've had a long wait on hold ... chances are we are busy ... we know how long you have been on hold so you don't need to tell us!

Number 2 --- if you see a cheap ticket price on the web ... BOOK IT! It probably won't be there tomorrow!

Number 3 --- If you call and immediately start complaining, we are probably not gonna bend over to help you ...

Number 4 ... If you call us for a last minute " deal " it's probably not gonna happen, book in advance during a seat sale ... to find out about seat sales .. .sign up for the airline's newsletter and be the first to know!

Number 5 --- Read the Rules of your ticket! Don't choose to save 3$ for something such as " No Changes, No Cancellations! " it's not a savings if you get stuck in traffic and miss your flight!

Number 6 --- yes, we always have seat sales! If we don't have a cheap ticket on the date you wanna travel ask for the first available date at the lowest price! .... Flights are often on sale for late night travel or early morning travel ... and weekdays!

Number 7 --- Not all seats are sold at the same price. When inventory on the aircraft is limited... the price of the ticket increases! Example, even if you paid 99.00$ for your ticket ... the person sitting behind you might have paid 1700.00$.

Number 8 - Start booking travel for Christmas now! Prices will probably increase if the price of fuel increases!

Number 9 --- Get Seat Selection on busy routes and busy times of year... you will be less likely to get bumped! Remember that most airlines will offer you a " voucher " of some kind if you do accept to be bumped... TAKE IT! you could get a free ticket just by taking a flight 1 hour / 2 hours later!

Number 10 --- Enrol in a frequent flyer program and accumulate points with the airline you travel with the most ... you can get a free flight or free products with your points!

Shop Around! Expedia.ca / .com is a great place to start shopping for fares!

For the Canadian Travellers... as much as i don't want to send you to other carriers .... travelling 1 hour or 2 hours to travel from the USA could save you hundreds of dollars... saves you paying GST / HST / and also Customs/ Immigration Taxes.

ok...
that's my venting for today!

Time to go make believe I want to help honey prepare some Nachos!!! He's cutting up onions... YUCK!
talk soon!

Survived my Late Shift!

Well, I survived my 530pm shift and even finished without leaving early! Leaving work at 2am was a bit scarry since I hate driving at night. I seem to see things that aren't really there... no ghost or anything LOL but shadows.. ya! I see shadows!! LOL!

Well the town came and put in a few " Rocks " in our front yard. I don't think it looks good at all. It just seems like some low budget fix up. It would have been nice of the town to actually put in topsoil and even seed it for grass next sprint you know... but they didn't! I think Steve will be seeing the town Mayor to discuss a few things and I am pretty sure our other neighbors aren't happy with the fix up either...

So Ms Natalie Roy will be teaching a technique class at Creative-Scrappers starting Sep 20th! If you've seen her work and are wondering " how did she do that ? " Natalie will teach you how! I have seen the first lesson and already I am amazed! No Supplies need to be purchased ... you use your own and only a small fee per person is asked for 2 prizes and natalie's time.
you can register today ... and also get more info in our forum!

I have no scrappy news to share with you today .... other than it's Fall and it's Scrap time!

It's Friday & A few Banners

Finally the weekend, although it feels like i've been on a permanent weekend for 2 weeks! I could so do this vacation thing every month! Imagine... I could work 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off!!! Wouldn't that be nice.

I am relaxing today, hopefully going to play with my scrap supplies this weekend. I got some new American Crafts goodies and also Pink Paislee is calling my name. I wish I had some mojo during the day ... but it seems to creep up on my at about 10pm ish!

Steve isn't feeling well today, he is on antibiotics for an infection and it's making him a little weezy. I hope he is feeling better soon. Poor man, he's on vacation this week and he's had nothing but phone calls from work, and stress ... hopefully the weekend will be better. he's actually in bed right now at 530pm !

Well I start my new 530pm shift on Monday. Ask me if i am happy? ... NOPE! But .. a positive way to look at it, - i have all day to play, clean house, watch Oprah, go to work where no managers are there, hopefully a bit quieter than day time ... and that's about all the positive about it! It's for 2 months ... so we shall see after the first 2 days how i feel about it! haha!!!
oh well...

nothing new to showcase today in the scrap world.. only a few fun blog banners! I am soooo having fun creating these.. take a peek at a few new ones!

the first one is for me, i got these awesome digtal elements at www.digitalcandy.ca I love that store... they have awesome digital kits and i am hooked on them !

I love it... she is actually doing a little painting of Eddie ( my cat ) right now and I can't wait to see it! take a peek at her " new " blog ... I am sure it will be a colorful and cheery read for you!

Another Day... another Mini Album!

It's almost Wednesday... which means PAYDAY! WOOHOOO!!!! ... you wouldn't believe how bad we need groceries!!! I hate buying groceries now cause it seems that I always buy the same thing ... over and over again... rice, fish, peas, hamburg, lettuce, tomatoes... blah. i am bored! So, I am letting Steve my DH buy the groceries this week. I think if it was just me .. i would buy Ice Cream, Chocolate Chip Cookies, Juice, Bagels, and ... um.. I could probably live on that for a week or so! LOL! .. oh seriously... I think I am eating enough sugar the past few months to make up for the sugar i didn't have when i was growing up!

Mom and Dad always "protected" our eating habits making sure we had all our fruits and veggies, milk ... good cereals and well... now... i think it's time for be to be a Sugar Eating Adult! Maybe I have issues... wait a minute.. I know I have issues .. but how do i stop from eating this sugar all the time! I know.. don't buy it as my father would say.. but ... I CAN"T help it! I really want that taste... are there any veggies out there that have a ..." sweet " taste other than sweet potatoes!???

So yes, I am still on vacation.... only a few days left then back to reality... Steve was suppose to be off with me but do to an emergency with a coworker he was called in to work sat and tues... so hopefully he can get some time off this week with NO PHONE CALLS from the office.... HINT!!! HINT!!!

This is the layout I completed for Creative-Scrappers DT Reveal this past Sunday! I love the Daisy Bucket papers I used here.. so fun and great colors too! The pictures of miss Marissa were PERFECT for this sketch ... and of course the colors !

I finished 3 mini albums ... I really love them! They are sooo cute...

here are the cover pages so you can take a peek!

Dreams are Renewable was done with Daisy Bucket papers and measures 4x4 .. a cute little album about the earth today...

This is another mini album .. measuring about 6x3" and done with October Afternoon papers... soooo yummy! Love the tags, the journal tags... it's a sweet little thing! I did have 1 kit available for this album, but it sold !!

This is another mini album.. measuring 6x6 .. again done with Daisy Bucket papers.. Can you tell I love Daisy Bucket for my mini albums!

Hello fellow friends and readers !!!

Well I have news to share ... in case you haven't heard!!!
I have been helping Nicole from CompuPro Scrapbooking In Fredericton NB get herself set up as an online store with forum and gallery! It all started as a blog message - her asking me for my kits.... and then WOWZERS we're building a website together!!! ( and of course thanks goes to Heather from Hot Pink Flamingos! )

Come on over If you have a chance sign up and say hi! www.CompuProScrapbooking.com

some things are still being finetuned... like the pink background... we can't seem to decide which one, or even white or black!! LOL!! but it's all good..

The store will be up and running after Nicole has done her July Inventory!
I have been chosen as a Design Team member for her and as a side ADMIN for her board.
My Creative Scrappers blog is my #1 priority, and my Creative kits as well and she was nice to understand that and still have an open invitation for me for her site!

Yes, I am busy! I LOVE IT, LOVE IT! ... and can't stay away.. never will! Unless Cross Stitching comes back with a vengance LOL!!

So, that's my story today! I am going to sit back, relax, have some ice cream and scrapbook for an hour or so!

Talk to you tomorrow with a few layouts and maybe some garden pictures!

Hugs!

Hello!!!!!!

The sun is shinning, a cool breeze is blowing, it's the middle of june and oh... so nice! The shrubs are growing and the perennials are blooming. Isn't this a great time of year?

Oh my, speaking of perennials.... we have this astilbe that is planted next to our deck in the backyard. It as barely any sun and really a lot of moisture cause of it's location... and WOWZERS... this plant is ... right now about 6 feet high!!!! It's wild.... it's only suppose to be about what... 24 inches or something... it's really going like crazy. I will have to take a pic and show you.... I have other of it's " sisters " in the garden, and they are only about ... 12-18" high already.. so this is for sure some mutated plant!

Eddie is enjoying this weather and really loves going outside in the morning before Steve and I get ready for work. The only problem with that is... on a day off! He sits on the bed, and MEOWS like crazy .... begging us to get up and let him go out... what a spoiled little kitty!!

So, I am assuming you have heard about the layoffs that will happen again at Air Canada .... 2000 employees will be " layed off " prior to November 1st 2008. I think about 30 of them will be Call Centre staff... but not sure. I hope to see a few people be able to transfer so as not to lose there jobs... I am sure others will be transferring, taking leave of absences and maybe early retirement... I so wish I could take an early retirement! imagine.... me .... 36 years old ... retired!!! LOL!! I wish!
mmm.. what would I do with my time off ....?? SCRAPBOOK!!!!! Yes.... that i could do!

Well, as i sit here with a pony tail and bangs in my eyes... i realize it's time for a hair cut.... I really miss my hairdresser... have i said that before... ? yes I think so! She left to persue other interest and MAN I miss her!!! now, i have to make an appoitment to some location that i am not familiar with and a new hairdresser... I am nervous. I am not fussy about my hair cuts... but I am..! Does that make sense!!??
anyhow, i hope to get a new one ... that knows what she is doing and enjoys it!

My aunt and uncle are here from Florida! YOUPEEEE..... Aunt Laurie.. and Uncle Carl. I can't wait to see them... sometime soon. They are here for Canada Day and then off to Florida again for July 4th... I must take a day or two to go visit them in Northern New Brunswick.. and get a little love from my nieces as well!

So I had a few good sales with my scrap supply sale! WOOOHOOOO!!!! In my own little " scrap " store!!! How fun!!!
I am also excited to share with you that I will be making Altered mini Albums and making kits with them to sell monthly! I am really excited about that ... and the store in Fredericton will be selling memberships for me as well!!! A big thank you to Nicole at CompuPro Scrapbooking for her support and encouragement! ( she's very patient !! LOL ! )
so.. if you are in the Fredericton area or even in the Saint John area... you kits can be available for pick up !
I already have a good number of interested scrappers and anxious to delelop this kit club... I have called it " Creative Kits " ... and even have a little side blog for more info .. in case you are interested !!
---> http://Creative-Kits.Blogspot.com <--- Come On.... I know you want to join me!!!
