this is the layout i created using this sketch - i love the circles and of course I had to add a few stars in there and some ink splats. I used the new Fancy Pants Captured Collection

CS DT Call | Fall 2013

I'm excited to announce that I have decided to start Creative Scrappers starting September 1st! We will have 2 sketches per month and reveals will be scheduled on Sundays!

I am thrilled to announce the call for Creative Scrappers Design Team for Fall 2013
I am looking for talented and committed designers who love to Create with Sketches!

Subject Line CS DT Call with the following information:

• Name, Country of Residence, email address,
• link to your blog and/or online gallery
• List of Current Design Teams
• Also include-- 3 of your recent layouts to showcase your scrapbook style

 The Design Team will be required to:

• Complete 2 layouts per month with sketches provided
• Be Exclusive to Creative Scrappers* (no other sketch blog is permitted)
• post our DT Blinkie/Badge in signatures & on your blog
• Posting the CS sketch & your layout on your Blog/Facebook (on Reveal Day)

- This is a Term position from September 1, 2013 - December 31, 2013
- Call is Open to Past and Present Design Team Members
- We have a Private Group on Facebook for Designers Only
- Call is open to all countries
- No compensation is provided
- Designers may submit their layouts for a chance to win the monthly prize

The deadline for all applications to be received is August 30th 2013. The individuals chosen to join the team will be notified via email and the new team will be announced here on the blog September 1st.

Playing with Gelatos | Scraptures GDT

Good Morning Readers!

It's my final post for Scraptures today. Thank you so much Christa for inviting me to play with your kit this month !!

I have a canvas to share with you today! It was created using only Gelatos

At first I gathered my scraptures Kit - a canvas, some water, modge podge. I layed out all my supplies and wasn't really sure what i was going to do. At first I was going to do some sort of a mixed media canvas with flowered " built in " to my canvas. But that sadly didn't work out well !! 

I started coloring my canvas with the gelatos - then i submerged my paint brush in water and started spreading my paint arround. just playing and spreading it.

This was actually the fun part for me. I loved spreading paint around and it was so easy with these awesome gelatos!

Once i finished painting i added flowers with mod podge. I really didn't like this and was not comfortable painting them with gelatos. So, i started to slowly peel them off and all of a sudden the top layer of my canvas came apart! Yup, i had peeled the first layered and the flowers left a small print on the canvas. So i decided to paint those prints!

Love creating layers for this page, and the close up was an instagram pic, probably done on my way to work early in the morning. Me at 41, a few wrinkles, and a bit of grey hairs!

Hello Summer | Scraptures GDT

Hello Friends,

I have another reveal with the July Scraptures Kit today! Creating with some GELATOS as ink plats, Bo Bunny Stamps and Simple Stories - i Heart Summer Collection. 

not having diecuts and stickers is making this a bit of a challenge for me, but i 'm enjoying it! It's making me think outside the box and how to use the supplies given to me.

I'll have another project to showcase at the end of July and hope you're enjoying your summer!

Hubby and i went on a little hiking trip yesterday and visited a little Fishing Village called ALMA. It's about an hour and 30 min from our home and we had a great time. Love those Nature Hikes!
