Scrapbook Sussies Reveal

Yes, I have been scrappin for the past day or so finishing up for our Scrapbook Sussies reveal.
I really enjoyed working with the We R Memory papers as well as the Glitz. But I found the Glitz papers to be a bit of a challenge for me. I am not a purple lover!

Here are the 3 layouts I created -

Happy Sunday to you!

It's such a beautiful day here today. The sun is out, no wind and the snow is melting. What could be better on this March 29th?!

I have no scrappy layouts to show you, no mini albums either. It's been a slow scrappy week here but I do have a few projects pending. I was suppose to scrap last night but I decided to decorate my blog instead! I got this new digi kit from ScrapArtist.com and decided to use it on my new banner.

I have a few projects to finish in the next 2 days for Scrapbook Sussies. The DT reveal will be posted in the next 2-3 days. This is the yummy April Kit in case you are interested in getting some fun papers from We R Memory , Glitz Designs and full embellies to match.

They also have a new blog incase you wanna visit!!! It's ScrapbookSussies.blogspot.com. All the DT members will be able to post a few sneaks, tips and techniques. I think Lara has a few contests comming in the near future too!
Speaking of Sussies... April 1st will be my last reveal. It is with sadness that I leave but I just don't have the 100% to give to Lara since I am occupied with Creative Scrappers and of course doing other things so I decided it was time to leave. {that means a new DT CALL for Scrapbook Sussies in the near future...?} You'll have to keep checking the blog for info / details!

Well Hubby and I participated in Earth Hour last night. Did you ? We had to go to the store but got back just in time to walk in the house and light up some candles. In doing so, I had the fire starter lighter and um... burnt my pinky! Nothing serious but funny at the time. I took a nice bath ( without the jets ) and enjoyed some quiet time. Hubby sat in the living room and enjoyed a beverage!

Then hubby and I watched a movie called "Definitely, Maybe". What a sweet chick flick! I loved it.. and that little girl is just too precious. The questions and comments coming out of her mouth.. oh my! I cried at the end... It was great!

It's our Creative Scrappers Revealtoday for Sketch 45.
This is our sketch from Ms. Jodie Kautzner. Finish a layout with this sketch and post it in our gallery by April 4th and have a chance to win an awesome kit from our sponsor! Hurry!!!

I still have room for the Crop on May 2nd! Come celebrate National Scrapbook Day with us and Scrap the day away from 9-9 at the St. James the Less Church! To register, email me or sign up in my store at www.creative-scrappers.com/store. I hope to see you there!

That's it for this Sunday! I hope you have a fabulous day and enjoy the sunshine!

Earth Hour

What Will You Be Doing?

Cuddling up with your loved ones and admiring the stars in the night sky or organizing a treasure hunt in the dark? At 8:30pm on Saturday 28 March, people from all corners of the world will turn off their lights for one hour - Earth Hour - and cast their vote for action on climate change. Anybody can participate and join together with millions of people across the globe celebrating Earth Hour.

Earth Hour is about taking simple steps everyday that collectively reduce carbon emissions – from businesses turning off their lights when their offices are empty to households turning off appliances rather than leaving them on standby.

Here are 10 different ways to spend Earth Hour and reduce your carbon footprint:

1. Attend a local Earth Hour event or organize your own by throwing an Earth Hour street party with your neighbors
2. Gather family & friends for a night picnic in your local park and look at the stars
3. Enjoy a family dinner by candlelight
4. Organize a treasure hunt in the dark
5. Take the dog for a night walk
6. Have a candle-lit bath
7. Sit in the dark and share stories
8. Organize a family night playing board games
9. Share a romantic night in with your loved one
10. Upload your ‘on the night’ photos and videos to flickr and YouTube respectively, and then add them to the
Earth Hour flickr group and the global YouTube Group.

Earth Hour Executive Director, Andy Ridley, is encouraging people to participate in whatever way they choose and to think beyond the hour.

“There are no hard and fast rules surrounding participation in Earth Hour. We only ask that you flick that switch and have fun doing whatever you choose to do during that time.

Make Earth Hour work for you. Families with young children should feel free to turn their lights off earlier than 8:30pm and for those having too much fun in the dark during the hour, don’t feel you have to limit yourself to one hour and switch back on at 9:30pm.”

To find out more about Earth Hour, visit the official website www.earthhour.org, sign up and join millions of people in more than 1,400 cities and towns in 80 countries throughout the world by turning off your lights for one hour at 8:30pm on Saturday 28 March.

Will You be participating?

A BDay & Lovin' Life

Good Morning!

It's March 16th, I am celebrating my 37th birthday today!
I have a day off work, so that means it should be a great day! The sun is shinning and it's really a beautiful day today.
Hubby and I will probably run a few errands ( taxes, new toilet seat (LOL) groceries) and .... not sure what else but I told him we had to be home by 12noon!

I finished a scrapbook page yesterday. A photo of my mom I've had for a year or so. I had already used this picture once on a page, but decided I wanted to do another page. I used the left overs from the Creative Scrappers layout Kit. I completed one layout for the kit that I can't reveal yet... although i would love to... but this is the one of my mom...

Lovin' Life

it reads:
" I have found that if you love life, life will love you right back "
Isn't she beautiful! She is 58 years old and looks fabulous!
{ love you mom! }

$3.49

oh my goodness! I am floored!
I went to Michael's tonight for my weekly fix of scrap goodies with my 40% off coupon. I was expecting to see a few new things but what I saw really took me by surprise!

Basic Grey --- tons of papers Boxer, Sultry Collection
Imaginisce --- Twitterpatted
We R Memory --- Nonsense Collections
Autumn Leaves
American Crafts --- Amplified and Everyday Collections

and more!!!

Most of these papers were $3.49 A SHEET!!!! A SHEET people! I can't even imagine how much of a profit Micheal's makes on these. They usually sell at a wholesale price of 40-60cents... and they are charging $3.49!!!!!!

I saw the manager at Micheal's and even asked her if they were priced correctly! Her response was " yes, they are pretty aren't they!" Um... YA! These are all older collections probably given away by Basic Grey and others to get rid of stock and I am so SHOCKED!
I REFUSE to pay such a horrific Price for a sheet of paper! Imagine, even with a 40% off coupon they are still making a serious profit.

Please.... Participate in my poll today!

It's March!

yes, it's March and all I can say is ... STOP THE SNOW!

We have had such a nasty 2 weeks here in New Brunswick. Snow falls up to 35cm, Freezing Rain, Sunshine, More Snow ... it's really not spring yet! We still have another storm in the forecast and I hope it's going to end soon.
One positive note is that our clock " Springs" ahead on Sunday. That means more daylight which means a better overall attitude for us Martimers with S.A.D! Yup, I am one of those people for sure. I could litteraly stay indoors for 5-6 months while winter passes by. As long as I have my food, my cat and Hubby I am all set! An scrap stuff and computer of course!!! LOL

We also got a new logo/banner for Creative Scrappers. Have you seen it? I love it! Kim Stillwell really outdid herself this time. I think it's perfect!

We are celebrating 1 year in business this April and have TONS of fun activites and challenges planned. You'll definitely have to drop by and participate for a few!

I also space available for the crop on May 2nd. If you haven't signed up yet, you still have time but don't wait too long! Payment is only due by April 25th .. so sign up! What are you waiting for?

I haven't done any serious scrappin for some time since I've been doing the little mini albums and well.. I am waiting on postal service and my MAIL BOX IS FROZEN! I have a few orders coming in and patiently waiting for the weather to improve. It's been 3 days since I've been able to get my mail and if you know me --- you know " I LOVE MAIL!". So I have to call Canada Post tomorrow to see if they can come and fix my lock, cause i think i broke it as I was ... um trying to open it ! LOL!! Yes, I have no patience!

In this is my Scrapbook Sussies March Kit ... and it's sooo yummy! I can't wait to get my hands on all these goodies... here is the reveal for our March Kit .. American Crafts and Basic Grey!

Lara has also purchased quite a few more goodies at CHA and I can't wait to get these new lines such as Bella Blvd, and the New Crate Papers ... and oh so much more..
Check out her list of upcoming products ... and Scrapbook Sussies will be getting a blog and gallery soon... WOOP WOOP!

March also means it's .... My Birthday! Yes, I will be turning 37 years old on the 16th. I have the day off work ( of course! ). I have nothing planned other than relaxing and enjoying some quiet time. Maybe Honey and I can go out or order chinese food or something. I am not fussy.

So, on that note.. it's March! Spring is on its way!!!
