CHA 2013

where do i start!?

well, thursday afternoon i managed to shift trade a few days off of work and out of the blue i sent a txt message to Nicole knowing she also had the weekend off and a few days there after. I only txt her ... WANNA GO TO CHA?! and the reply i got was FOR REAL!? .. and i said yes!  that's all it took - we started planning hotels, flights, and how we would get in to CHA. A little Hyper ? I think so!

thanks to a few friends we managed to get passes for the CHA SHOW, I made our standby reservations for Friday  morning.. with a bit of a long journey for me, but well worth it!  I had to leave in the early morning to go pick up Nicole in Winnipeg, then we were off to LAX!

We got to LA at about 630pm and then a 40 min shuttle to Anaheim. We were certainly glad to enter our hotel, but wowzers it was cold in CALIFORNIA!

The next morning, we got ready, as excited as could be to head off to CHA just a few blocks away from our hotel. We printed our passes and we were IN!

A little gasp of OH MY GOD came out of my mouth, in total awe of the gazillion of products to be seen. I noticed a few passerbys .. celine navarro, was the first person i saw in the building. Of course I'm too shy to introduce myself ... so that opportunity was missed, but regardless I was still excited.

Nicole and I were then off to visit the Jillibean Booth to say hi to Jill, & Kimber and were welcomed by Summer Fullerton, and Laina Lamb. What a great group of gals!
Before I left New Brunswick Kimber had sent me a message to bring one of my favorite Jillibean Layouts -- OMG i almost fell off the floor! how exciting ... to have a layout posted in a booth at CHA.. so voila...  ;-D

Nicole and I then started off on our CHA visit to see tons of booths, people doing make n' takes - and we browsed our favorite manufacturers booth and in total awe of how awesome it was.

So many great products will be coming on shelves in the next few months, I can say that Cameras and Feathers are popular, as well as Project Life products, and what great collections coming from Jillibean Soup , Lilybee Designs, Simple Stories, Heidi Swapp and really i could go on and on...

you can click here for more pics of products, i didn't take that many ... i was too busy browsing and watching people!

Here are a few pictures of the show...

what an honor to meet Ali Edwards in person, she really is genuine and great to talk to!  Tim Holtz was BUSY man that guy is popular with the ladies. His booth was always full and was at his booth the entire day/weekend.. Stephanie Hunt from bella blvd is adorable and so is her team of designers. Kimber and Jill from Jillibean Soup couldn't be nicer ladies, great to talk to and friendly personalities! (Thanks JILL & Kimber XOX ) If you wish to support a company in the scrapbook industry I would certainly say add Jillibean to your list ;-) They are coming out with new diecut shapes, new stickers shapes and oh the little corrugated ladies and gentlemen.. adorable!
